I was friends with this guy since I was 13 and we wound up having an intimate relationship when we were 24-26. He did some things and said some things that deeply upset me so I just moved on from the friendship and it’s toxicity. He has spent the last few years trying to find me. Contacting my family, email, phone call, even a LinkedIn message. He was trying everything to find me. Well he found me on social media under my alias and tried to add me. I asked him what’s up and he said he missed me. I am married now and he’s engaged and he was sending messages that he wants to meet up, I was one of the best he’s been with, asked me for a picture... etc. and I kept putting in the chat “you’re engaged” and “I’m married” and how that kind of talk is not okay because of that. He’s been hounding me to find out where I live and he keeps saying he’s missed me so much. What bothers me is that he’s trying to pressure me to add him to social media so he can see my pictures and see who I’m married to. I’m not going to do that. I guess I’m writing this to see if I’m being too harsh. We haven’t talked in years and he wants to catch up, but it feels like he’s trying to get close and I feel bad for his fiancée since he’s clearly not all invested. Any suggestions? I’ve tried to make my boundaries clear but he’s already seeming frustrated he can’t talk to me how he’s used to from the past.
