How long was your second labor vs first?

Just curious! Pregnant with my second and I’ve heard labor is worse, but shorter. My first took 7ish hours in labor but it was relatively easy (besides the contraction pain). No complications or anything. Hoping my second will be the same!

Both of my labors were abpit 11 hours total (first conttaction to baby out), but I induced with the second and not the first. I wouldn't say the second was more painful, despite being induced, but I had more trouble managing the pain due to baby not tolerating very many positions.

I was induced both times. But the second one I wasn’t on pitocin. First labor was 18 hours, smooth delivery. Second labor was  7. It may have been that I didn’t have pitocin but it was so much easier. I dilated much faster and was far more comfortable. Yes, it hurt but overall, it was smoother. I liked it shorter, even though it was more intense because I had more energy.

I am pregnant with my fourth and let me tell you my 2nd was the EASIEST.. Water broke at 850 Malijah was born at 1050 i walked the halls until about 10 minutes before i started pushing contractions were not bad so over all it was GREAT! So for me it was easy. Hoping the same for you 😄
