Safe early labor? How far along?

I know the more waiting obviously the better. But what’s a safe week to go into labor?

My dr told me at my last appointment once you are 36 week if baby is good no nicu time is required. Anytime before that even if baby is fine they go to the nicu. (Those could just by our hospital rules) 24 weeks is considered viable gestation for baby though.

I think 23 weeks is when the hospital has to do everything they can to save the baby if that’s what you mean!

37 weeks is full term but many babies survive being born much earlier than that with the advances in NICU technology
