Labor Scare Rant
I just have to say...it is annoying living an hour and twenty minutes from the closest hospital that will deliver in your area..
This is my second baby and I haven't been feeling super nervous or paranoid until last night.
I went to get ready for bed and noticed my underwear had discharge..but not the usual kind..just straight watery stuff (tmi..I know..but you guys get it) and then on top of that (warning..more tmi) when I wiped I had the really thick mucus stuff...so I start thinking...is this part of my mucus plug...is my water leaking? Because my water leaking was the first sign of labor for my first. But I was 39 weeks with her and only 31 right now with baby #2.
I go to bed..but I start feeling a weird kind of pain..weird pains everywhere in my stomach and I just can't freaking tell of he's moving in a new way or it's a tightening feeling of.mild contractions
I tolerated contractions while on Pitocin with my first up until 2-3 hours before pushing. So they weren't the worst for me at first...and it's like something happens and your entire memory of labor and how you felt is wiped from your mind..
So I lie awake worried that I'm ignoring the signs...scared if I wait it will be too late and he'll be born at home and not able to receive the help he needs...
But it's 1am..the long driveway is covered in ice and snow...my one year old has no one to watch her...I can't just drive an hour and a half for false assumptions. Our tires are awful and we probably couldn't get out of the driveway.
Thankfully I was finally able to get some rest...but I think from this point on in the pregnancy I will be paranoid of things happening too fast..tell me I'm not crazy 🙈😭
