Why does this keep happening?

This is the 3rd LH test I’ve taken over the past few days where I have had a dye run? Also this one is measuring at 0.74. Isn’t that kind of high for being 9dpo? I bbt and got a peak

and I’m pretty sure I ovulated 9 days ago.

Why are you testing LH at 9 dpo? You stop after your first positive for this exact reason: it only causes confusion as we can have a few surges.

Those tests say for only 3 seconds. If you use too much you get dye runs. 
I use these and putting it in my urine longer than three seconds it ALWAYS gave me a dye run.

I’ve found that it happens when you don’t leave them in the urine long enough. With strips they often need 10s not 5 like most FR and CB

It could be that you're dipping it a little too long, or it's angled when loading, or that you just got a faulty batch. So sorry you have to deal with that!
