Has anyone had experience with a doula ?

Has anyone had experience with a doula ? I’m considering one with this being my first baby. Is it worth the money ? I found one that’s about $950. What are pros and cons to a doula ?

Both of my friends had doulas and loved them. They give a lot of support so I’ve heard!!! 
Personally ....and this is just me! But my husband was the most amazing support and better than a doula could’ve been in my opinion.
If you have someone you trust and feel very comfortable with that could assist you during birth I recommend choosing that person preferably your spouse,  but if not then i’d definitely get a doula.

I had a great experience with my doula, she & my husband supported me equally, I was in labor for 2.5 days & pushed for 4.5 hours (before deciding to go to csection) so I really needed both of them! She was a great advocate for me when my husband & I were too tired to remember things that I wanted to be able to do or things I didn’t want to do.
