I’m breastfeeding my 8 month old and got my second shot on Friday. It was okayed by the pediatrician.  I work in healthcare.  I decided to get it because I don’t want to get covid and have the possibility of long term heart and lung damage amongst other effects.  I also am able to pass some immunity to my child.

I wouldn’t just because I feel like while people can guesstimate data based on other vaccines and etc nobody, not even your doctor, actually truly knows the effects it may have on your child. There’s no data. But in 10 years there will be because they will do trials on the children who’s mom got the vaccine while pregnant or breastfeeding. I’m not an antivaxer at all but there just isn’t any reliable data and there won’t be for at least a decade no matter what anyone says.

I voted yes because im leaning toward getting it if available. But I will have an honest conversation with my doctors first and see what they recommend. If anyone is interested in a doctor's opinion, Momma Doctor Jones on youtube is an OBGYN who has talked about it in multiple videos.

I’m 38 weeks pregnant so won’t be getting it during this pregnancy but will definitely be getting it while breastfeeding. As soon as it is offered to me..

I doubt I’ll be eligible before the baby comes. But I’ll get it as soon as I can. That’s what my doctor has recommended and he obviously has a far greater understanding of the science behind it than I ever could, I trust his expertise.

Originally I was against it but after talking to my doctor and pediatrician both said that if you can do it, the positives and staying healthy outweigh the unknown of what Covid could do to a baby.  I’m not eligible as haven’t had to make a decision.
