Possible diabetes

I'm 43 and in the process of fertility treatment...going through all the testing right now. I have no kids and have had 1 miscarriage in past and I have tried both

IUI and iVF few years ago. Well now I'm older and my a1c came back super high.(9.6) I know my dr will put me on medication...I'm hoping and wondering if my fertility Dr will still allow me to try

IUI...I know that it comes with greater risk but as the medical world has advanced I'm sure that Dr's can carefully monitor me and make sure everything stayed fine. I had lost 10 lbs in the summer so I'm also surprised my a1c didn't go down but increased. I also feel totally fine even though my a1c is high which I guess is weird.
