When did u start potty training?

There are 14 months between my oldest two kids.  It was my younger one who potty trained first!
She was about 18 months old when she decided she didn’t want to wear a nappy any longer so we were lead by her.  My son (whose the older one) had no interest in potty training though, he was closer to 3 and a half.  
Did get some funny looks sometimes taking the little one to the public toilet while changing the older ones nappy.  They both did it in their own time though and never had any issues with regression or bed wetting etc.

How do you know when your little one is ready? 
My 15 months old has started to sometimes point/touch the front of his nappy when he’s gone for a wee or poop ... but not persistently, just a little tap for acknowledgment. I don’t feel Hes ready yet, but it’s a step in the right direction. How do I know when he is fully ready?

My daughter was 2.5, she decided 1 day she didn't want her nappy changing anymore. Within a week she had completely cracked wees, took a couple of weeks for poos, but it was a relatively painless experience. 
My youngest id almost 2, but he's nowhere near ready yet.

My son potty trained at 3, he kept saying he would do it when he was 3. He did it no bother and was dry at night after a few weeks too. I’m a firm believer in not pushing it until they’re ready.
