New Birth Control - Daily Spotting
Hello, I was on the Vaginal Ring birth control for three years. While it did its job, I was very emotional while on it and decided to switch. My gynecologist recommended Junel which is a daily pill. After the first week, I began spotting to the point where I wear a pad (not liners) because it’s in the heavier side. The nurse said it’s common to spot up to 3 months as your hormones are taking effect and that it’s common to spot with most birth control pills. I take the pill the same time every day. I’m considering taking it for a month and a half before talking to my gynecologist. Years ago I was on Nexplanon (insert in arm) and had the same issue where I spotted every day for three months. I’m hoping it’s not the case with this one as it’s really annoying having like a period everyday. Has anyone experienced this before when switching birth controls or have used this one before? Would appreciate any advice as I’m trying to be responsible but also have a birth control that’s practical. Thank you.
