Newborn's belly button.. is this normal?

My son is 1 week and 4 days old his belly button stump fell off a few days ago and looks like this now and smells a bit now Is this normal?

It's normal. My daughter's looked like that after it getting caught on her diaper and she was perfectly fine.

I'm  not a doctor,  but  neither  of my daughters  belly buttons looked like that after their nub fell off. I'd  call the pediatrician  to be on the safe side.
