I started talking to a guy about a week ago. I haven’t met him in person yet. He seems really nice but he always jokingly says I’m old. I know he’s joking but it’s getting really annoying. It’s almost like he tries too hard or he doesn’t know how to have a conversation. I’ve been sick with a cold since Wednesday. This morning I woke up at 6:00am coughing my lungs up because it got really hot in the bedroom. So that took a lot of my energy. I’ll post a picture of part of our texts today. But it’s everyday he says something about me being old. What do y’all think? Is he trying too hard? Doesn’t know what to say maybe? What would y’all do? I’d really like to get to know him and eventually meet him but I don’t know if I can take the old jokes constantly.

EDITED TO ADD: I want to thank everyone for your comments. I don’t want to just cut him off. I do enjoy talking to him and I would like to get to know him. After that last text I sent, he said “hahahahaha so when you wanna meet”. So I know he wants to meet me. I’m interested to meet him too. But when I’m not sick and I get completely over the crud I have. It’s just every single day sometimes more than once a day he’ll say something about my age. It gets annoying. I already knew how old he is. But I asked so I could be nice and say what I did say. But if it continues, I’m going to tell him it’s not cool to continue to call me old.
