Ugh. My son is now 2.5 and still nursing 3-4 times a day. I LOVE nursing him but really want to start trying for baby #2. I’m just not sure what to do.

I should also mention that my son has severe autism, so nursing is one of the few times we get to connect. The thought of giving that up kind of breaks my heart.

Update: i’ve weaned my son down to one morning nurse, with the occasional evening nurse. I did that in tandem with my doctor prescribing me progesterone and my period came back.
