Is it okay to have a baby shower for 2nd child? My first was a boy, now having a girl.

Of course it’s okay if that’s what YOU want to do. I will have a shower for every baby I have. I don’t care what gender (I have a boy and girl so far) or age gap because ALL my kids will be celebrated. I’m Hispanic so we really just have parties to dance and eat 🤷🏻‍♀️

All babies deserve a party. Many people call it a sprinkle for their second because you don't need quite as much stuff. You should be able to reuse car seats, stiller's, some toys, crib etc.

I think it’s fine. It bothers me that all babies aren’t always celebrated in some way. I personally prefer “sprinkles” for second kids but that kind of happens naturally since you need fewer of the big ticket items. I’d love for a lot of people to buy me diapers and wipes and some fun new clothes for our second but in my area second showers are not common (at least in the groups I am apart of).

I feel like most people now a days do have baby showers/sprinkles for their 2nd+! It’s such a great reason to celebrate 🎉💕 do what YOU want!

Thank you everyone! We don’t really need many “big ticket” items but some diapers/wipes/clothes/etc would definitely be helpful financially. I just didn’t want to come off as tacky.
