Whens the earliest an ob has been able to find out babys gender through regular ultrasound?

20+ weeks to be sure. However the blood test can identify the baby’s gender at 8 weeks. I find the blood test to be more accurate.

I had one at 14 weeks with my last pregnancy and then 15 weeks to be sure and they were pretty positive I was having a boy. Then had to see a specialist at 18 weeks to check my baby's heart because my first child had a very rare heart defect and found out at that appointment that I was actually having a girl. I will never trust an early ultrasound again. This time I found out through a NIPT test and it was accurate

The standard practice for OBs is that they will not confirm gender earlier than 16 weeks (though it depends office to office, mine won’t do before 18 weeks but tries to do closer to 20 weeks)

Can be as early as 14 weeks. You can do sneak peak after 8 weeks they are pretty accurate
