Is anybody else doing the NIPT test or sneak peek gender reveal to get the gender early? If my doctor won’t write a letter to my insurance company stating I’m eligible for the NIPT test then I’ll be ordering sneak peek 😬 currently 7 weeks exactly & haven’t set my first doctor appt yet, just waiting a bit longer to make sure I at least hit 8-9 weeks.

My doctors office starting offering the gender portion when I was pregnant with my 2nd, so I’m excited to find out through the NIPT again!

I’m getting it. I’m 7w4d and I’m scheduled for test on March 20th. I’m 42 but my co-worker had it and told me about it. I can’t wait

I get the NIPT done each pregnancy but it’s not covered by insurance because I’m under 35. The company does a discount for self pay (I think it’s 200) but it gives you the genetic risks and gender and is correct.  I’ve seen sneak peak be wrong a lot. I wouldn’t trust it.

I will be getting the genetic testing between 11-13 weeks. I had it done with my 2 1/2 year old due to abnormal genetic tests when my 6 year old (he was 3 at the time) had genetic testing done. My age also has a factor in getting it done. I am 39 (due 2 days before my 40th birthday) so I am considered a geriatric pregnancy. I have been high risk for all of my pregnancies, but higher risk with this one.
