Cannabis and pregnancy??

Curious if any mom's use cannabis!? Now that you're pregnant, not looking for back lash just asking a question lady's! Lol

Okay good! Because I do smoke cannabis, it helps me sleep and keeps my nausea at bay!! I'm going to let my OB know at my first appointment which isnt until March 16 and I'll be 8 weeks by then (I hate having to wait so long) it's also through a video call can't even see little bean until April 9th 🤧

I’m on my third pregnancy right now ( 7w 2d) and I smoked for both of my boys pregnancies and quit at like 30 weeks. Both of my boys are incredibly smart and I had no issues during pregnancy or labor. And they both only had a little jaundice when they were born. They are both very healthy. I think there is nothing wrong with smoking or using cannabis throughout pregnancy. I would just say if you are in a state where it is illegal to just quit around 30-32 weeks so you don’t have to deal with CPS.

This is obviously controversial just because there isnt much research on cannabis and pregnancy!! I appreciate all my cannabis mamas who knows and have educated themselves about the use of marijuana and how beneficial it can be!! I do plan on to continue using cannabis as it relaxes and soothes me which as we all know as mommys and feature mommys that a happy and healthy mama leads for a healthy and happy baby and the more stressed I am the more stress I put on my baby and that's the last thing I want 🥰 thank you all for your support and opinions ❤❤

I’m all for cannabis- I usually am a regular consumer... but in pregnancy I dunno, it doesn’t sit well with me. Hell, most herbal teas are even off limits. If I can’t drink dandelion tea then what are the risks with cannabis? I know tons of people do it and have healthy children but I am just willing to cut it out for the time being.

For my first pregnancy I smoked until I was 7 months thinking I would be good but to my surprise I tested negative but Annalyse tested positive. So I had a cos case for a month .. the lady came to my house checked to make sure I was ready for Anna and then she said listen all u gotta do is stay clean until ur next year and ur case will be closed because she say I was well prepared. But this time around I want to stop smoking and see the difference in my pregnancies. I can't front I have a little over 7 more blunts I have crushed in my grinder. My first ultrasound is on March 11th so I'm sure I'll smoke that up before my apt .. after this load is smoked I'm quitting ..

It’s absolutely not safe. There have been a number of studies that show that it contributed to developmental problems and lifelong issues. Anecdotal evidence of people’s kids being safe as babies is nothing to go on as many issues develop in adolescence. Survivor bias doesn’t make it safe, just like they didn’t always use carseats or vaccinate or cut up food safely. It’s not worth chancing it and hoping you’re one of the lucky ones.

Yeah it sounds like no one really “knows” the “right” answer. So probably better off without. My husband constantly asks me to smoke with him but I figure the MJ will be there after the pregnancy. I can do without for now and it’s worth it even if there’s a sliver of a chance baby doesn’t tolerate it 😊

I quit when I learned I was pregnant at 3 weeks. My OB/GYN knows I smoked because of my ptsd, anxiety, & depression and was happy that I stopped. I’m switching to a midwife because this OB/GYN isn’t giving me evidence based care and is fatphobic and was really affecting my mental health. I tested negative for THC at my 5 week drug test and this past two weeks my depression has been horrible. I was even questioning why I wanted to do this(after trying for a baby for over a year and being so excited I was pregnant). I’ve had night terrors, panic attacks and I didn’t know how much longer I could take it. I was miserable. After doing so much research I decided to ignore the stigma and negativity and go back to plant medicine. I was going to try CBD, but that’s just as controversial as THC is. I’m only smoking at night and only taking one or two puffs because that’s all I need, and I’ve seen a huge improvement on my pain, my depression, overall mood, etc. I’m not going to suffer, or take prescribed medicine that has never helped me. Cannabis has saved my life over and over and I’m so grateful for this healing plant. Thank you for this post and I really want to connect with other mommas who use plant medicine 🌱 This is 100% what’s best for me and my baby.

I know plenty of women who have smoked and not had any issues with the pregnancy or with baby. But I personally wouldn’t. I just don’t think there is enough information to be comfortable with it. But to each their own!
