How to make more milk during breastfeeding?

I don't make enough milk and I need to give my baby formula too. How to produce more milk so that I can only breastfeed my son?

The best way to increase milk supply is by feeding ur baby. It’s supply and demand. If ur supplementing with formula, the message to produce more milk won’t get to ur body as baby is full. Keep nursing as much as possible

What I did was fed my baby, then pumped 10 mins each breast. Then once I started making an oz or two after feeds, I’d top up with that. Then I just stopped pumping after & made sure baby emptied the breast. Then just make sure they have enough wet & dirty diapers

Pump after and in between feeds to mimic more demand! It can be tiring, but it truly will help. I pump for 15 minutes after every feed even if not much (or anything) comes out. Then I usually try to add in an extra pump after baby goes to bed. 
You can also try making lactation treats/foods. Oatmeal is a big one. I found lots of recipes on Pinterest. I like to make lactation banana or pumpkin muffins which have oats, brewers yeast, and flax seed as the lactation boosters. I’ve also been drinking oat milk.

How do you know that you're not making enough milk? 
In terms of things you can do, lots of skin to skin contact, encourage feeding and the more they feed the more they encourage your breasts to produce. Eating oats are supposed to be beneficial, keep well hydrated. If you're not pumping already, then pumping when baby is having a bottle can be beneficial, although it doesn't give an accurate representation of your reply; with my first I couldn't pump more than 1 ounce at a time, but she fed successfully until she was almost 1.
