This post is for me but more for support for my daughter.

She just turn 7 this January but suffers for ADD and is currently taking anxiety medication with it as well.

My question is does start the medication young influence the brain later on as adult.

My in laws are against me giving her medication because it is going to damage her brain development and that she isn't going to be a normal adult growing up. I just need to know if that is true.

My daughter is the beautiful smart and energetic girl you ever meet but she is screaming for help. I do my best keeping up appointments and getting the correct medication for her.
