Concerns
To begin with, I have spoken to both the pediatrician as well as my own doctor but im curious if anyone has gone through the same, or has advice/ epncouragement.
My son will be 4 weeks Friday, and he is only in the 1st percentile. He is ebf (either by breast or expressed breast milk). He's been on only breastmilk 2 weeks this Thursday. My supply is definitely increasing so I know he's eating more. I'm pumping 2-3oz after his feeds or 4-5oz if I just pump and feed him expressed.
We have thrush now though. Will my supply go down? Iys a worry after doing everything to get it back up.
Also, he's not pooping. Tje doctor isn't concerned cause when he goes he's not constipated, but im still worried. He eats every 2-3 hours during the day ans 3-4 hours at night. But poops about every 2 days. It's yellow, runny and fills his ENTIRE diaper. He's also very gassy ans gets hiccups a lot. Hw also recently started to spit up (happened yesterday three times resulting in choking episodes)
Hes not in pain from it (that I can tell. Hes a very calm baby unless he's hungry or does poop ans needs to be changed.)
Has anyone else gone through this? He was fed via NG tube for the first week. Then fed by bottle, expressed and fortified breastmilk for another 6 days. Now he's either nursing or eating expressed milk only. Has tons of wet diapers too. His lasy diet change was 2 weeks ago as of Thursday.
I just need to feel like I'm not alone.
Also, does anyone get tingles whwn they feed? I get it in my shoulders when k feed, almost like my boibs are too heavy ans aew making my shoulders "fall asleep".
Thanks ladies. This is baby 5, but I only ever breastfed once before with my now 10 year old and it was only when he was in the NICU.
