So what is it about the litter box?

Do i have to get rid of my cat 😭 his litter box is in my laundry room...can I even go in there to do laundry??

No you do not have to get rid of your cat. 
I have two cats and would never think of getting rid of them. Just don’t eat their poop.

Have you been tested to see if you’re immune to toxoplasmosis?  It’s usually part of your first blood draw.  Honestly, wear a glove and mask and you’re fine to clean them.  Wash your hands after obviously.  As long as you’re not licking the poop, you’re pretty unlikely to get it.  Definitely don’t have to get rid of the cat.

If you have a partner or roommate just ask them to pick up the slack and handle the litter while you can’t.
