Low platelets, anyone else? :/

Just got my second results of my blood panel showing low platelets.  Talking with my doc today, but anyone else in this boat? What is your doctor saying? I’m 33 weeks. Count was 130 in Jan and now 121

I was told with my third pregnancy that my platelets were low. And if they got any lower than I couldn’t get the epidural. She told me to start eating greens. So boy did I. I wasn’t missing out on that epidural lol. This baby they aren’t quite low. But I might ask next week for them to check my levels

I had mine at 80 and they had me on steroids 4 days before my induction date to be able to get the epidural.

How low? I just had my blood tested yesterday so I’m still waiting for my results, but 3 weeks ago they were in the 170s and trending down. I had HELLP with my first, and platelets are one of the best indicators. My platelets got into the 50s with my son so they did an emergency c-section because my body was shutting down. I believe that it’s fairly common for platelets to dip lower than normal during your third trimester, but it’s usually not too serious. Hopefully it’s nothing!

Yes, same here.  Third pregnancy and never had any issues before.  Platelets were borderline at 28 weeks at 140.  They were 209 when my booking bloods were taken at 10 weeks.  They’ve said they are just going to retest at 32 weeks and see how they are then.
Did some research, but can’t seem to see anything that suggested it’s a massive problem and is only an indicator of a potential issue when there are other indicators present too (I have normal bp and heart rate etc).  Although if anyone knows more I’d welcome the information!
