2021 pregnancies on the rise?

Ladies, I’m still waiting for my dating scan appointment here in the U.K. I’m on a waiting list... does that mean that lockdown = more pregnancies? 😅 so I’ve had a private scan at 11w2days and thankfully the little one looks happy and healthy. I’m in my 12th week now and I just want the official scan so I can finally announce publicly! For those in the U.K., have you had your dating scan yet?

I had the letter through at 8/9 weeks! Appointment for 12w1d. I’d contact your midwife. Mine told me to contact her if I hadn’t had my letter through by 10 weeks or so xx

I can't believe you haven't had a scan date yet! I got mine at 9-10 weeks. Ive never heard of a waiting list for a scan. Is your midwife through your GP or community? Id get intouch with your midwife incase you've just been forgotten about.

Having similar issues here in Nova Scotia, Canada! Dating ultrasounds are extremely backed up. I didn’t get my date until 2 days ago and I’ll be 13w1d at the scan. Going for a private scan tomorrow at 12 weeks after my 8 week scan I already had at the fertility clinic.

I only just had my booking appointment Tues at 9+5, still waiting on a scan date. Mine said to ring if I didn't hear within 7-10 days x

That’s ridiculous can you chase your midwife? My appointment came through when I was 7 weeks, I have it in 2 weeks time when I’ll be 12w+3

I know here (US) there are actually fewer babies being born.  It’s hard to get appointments though as they’re spacing them out further so less people are in the waiting room and they can clean more thoroughly between appointments.  So they’re taking 1/2-3/4 of the amount of patients that they used to

I think it depends where you're based, and because they can have fewer women present, so appointments are more spread out.
I know where I am, there are always a lot of pregnancies, so I can't even get my 8 week appointment until 10 weeks, so god knows when I'll get my scan appointment.
