Can I wait until 9 months?

Can I wait until my baby is 9 months old to start feeding him 3 times a day? He will be 8 months next week and isn’t really interested in purées too much and will only eat like 3 things.

It’s not necessary to feed them until after they’re 12 months 😊

I feed purées 3 times a day 
Oatmeal in the morning 
A veggie + fruit purée for lunch 
And a veggie or meat (sometimes) puree for supper 
Her formula all in between throughout the day. 
I have just started cutting up very small pieces of steamed veggies for her to try here & there 
My baby will be 7 months on March 1st

Same as below comments. My sons Ped likes to follow the “Food before 1 is just for fun.” model. Given that I still offer my LO solids every time I eat. Ends up being 3 times day. Every day I offer ONE veggie, ONE food I know he likes, and his last meal I’ll usually do another veggie or something savory (no fruit before bed). I also feed him bits of food off of my plate throughout the day (Ground beef, rice, whole broccoli, fig bar 🤦🏻‍♀️, mashed potatoes, etc. He seems to love experimenting. Makes him feel involved too when he gets to eat with us.

There is no right or wrong answer here. Follow your baby’s lead. Mine is a tank and eats 3 times a day most days but some days she doesn’t want solids at certain times. If she doesn’t want it I don’t force the issue.
