Any ladies the breadwinner in the family here?

If so how has your pregnancy gone? I’m 11 weeks and currently the breadwinner (by a lot). Starting to worry a bit regarding maternity leave/if I will want to go back to work after baby.

Yep, I’m actually the sole breadwinner and a high earner.. I’m not stressed about being off work, my work gives me 100% pay for 4 months of leave, not sure I’ll take the full time, we’ll see when the little one arrives but I am worried about future job promotions once everyone knows I have a baby. I’m 27 weeks and my work still doesn’t know, I was waiting on a promotion that may not pan out in time, and worry about taking 4 months off when there’s a lot of work to do..
My husband was already not working though, I make more than enough to support us very comfortably and he’s never been very career minded so it just works out better for us this way..

Worked until I delivered. We anticipated the loss of pay for maternity leave so we were able to save up and we’re fine those few months. I knew I would want to go back to work, so that was never a question. Between the pandemic and maternity leave, we’re living more frugally (but there’s also nothing to do to spend money on so it’s pretty easy).

We make about the same. I didn’t want to go back but I needed to...for my sanity. I’m TERRIBLE at building a schedule. My now toddler LOVES his daycare. It was so hard to go back. I cried a lot but it was best for us. This time I’ll take 16 weeks rather than 12 weeks.

Yes, I’m the breadwinner as well. I’m currently 13 weeks, but I’m very thankful my job offers 100% paid maternity leave for 9 or 11 weeks (depending on delivery). I’m a little nervous because we are currently saving as much as possible to buy a house before baby, but I also don’t think I’m gonna want to return to work so soon so we’ll see how that goes.

I’m halfway through my leave and getting nervous about going back. Luckily my job is willing to be very flexible and my husband is actually my assistant. Weird, I know, but we are able to share home and work responsibilities so that’s great. 12 weeks just goes by so fast. My preference would be to stay home longer, but we can’t get by losing my income

Worked until I delivered. Went back to work after. He doesn’t make enough to support us on his own, I would love to stay home.
