Why Am I Not Pregnant ?

I posted a few days ago about my husband coming in me and wondering if I was pregnant.
Well today my period came.
I don’t use any kind of birth control and didn’t in that moment. I do breast feed still our 15 month old. But now I’m wondering, why am I NOT pregnant ? I’m 23 years old and have regular periods. Our first born was made on our first try.

Could be you were not ovulating or even if you were, there is always just a chance each cycle you will get pregnant. I think i heard it typically takes couples 6-12 months of trying to get pregnant.

If you have sex at the best possible time, there is only a 20% chance you get pregnant.

Doctors don’t worry until you go beyond the 1 year mark of trying. And not just like having lots of sex trying but like, tracking your cycle, having sex at the right time, kind of trying. You could try for years and never get pregnant if you don’t have sex in the right window. Probably has nothing to do with your fertility. If your not already tracking, start and then at least you’ll know when to do the baby dance 😜

I have been trying for almost a year, regular periods and still nothing, just because you have sex doesn't mean you will automatically be pregnant, if only it was that easy

I mean you don’t just get pregnant if he came in you and because your periods are regular. it’s all about timing and when you ovulate which could change from time to time. be patient and don’t rush it, it’ll happen!

With perfect timing and no fertility problems and good luck it should take 3 months but 6 is also pretty reasonable. Some people it takes 6-12 months. Breastfeeding can also affect fertility in some people. I have gotten pregnant while breastfeeding, so not everyone has a problem, but some do.
