Alright guys, so I have a question for anyone who is currently or has dealt with gestational diabetes.

I got diagnosed a few weeks back now, and all my post meal numbers are great. No concerns or worries about those at all. My fasting numbers on the other hand are high. I’ve never had one that fell under the normal range. So they put me on metformin to help with my fasting numbers and so far it is not helping. I know next step is probably insulin but what if insulin doesn’t work either?

Has anyone dealt with this?

What was your outcome?

I’m worried for the health of my baby.

I know this is something to talk to the doctor about but I don’t have another appointment with them until March 3rd so just reaching out to see if anyone has dealt with this too and what was done about it?
