I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant and turning 43 in a couple weeks.

I have a 17 month old that I got induced early with at 34 weeks and ended up needing a emergency c section due to preeclampsia and failure to progress. But even with that baby they said they didn’t want me to go past 39 weeks.

This pregnancy has gone smoother than that one. I do not have preeclampsia this time around ( so far)

And they still say because of my history and age that they don’t want me to go past 39 weeks

My question is

Has anyone over 40 gone the distance? Have you been allowed to go into labor naturally beyond 39 weeks ?
