Is age really just a number ?

Hello. So I’ve been talking to this guy and he’s 37 I’m 23. Do you guys think that’s to much of a age jump or does it matter ? 
He’s the first guy I’ve ever talked to this age and I’m his first young girl lol.

When I was 18 I got together with my partner who was then 28. I kinda knew him before as he was my brother’s classmate in high school. It was a new years party and we were drunk but for some reason we stayed together and been together for over 6 years now. We have a 2 old and we’re planning to try baby #2. I’m 24 and he’s 34. I could never find a guy in my age (17-18 back then) who would be serious about relationships. Even a few years older guys they all just seemed super childish and just not what I was looking for. I kinda wanted a more mature man who I can have actual conversations with. We are at different stages of our lives but we love each other and it works just fine. I know more friends of mine who have big age gaps with their partners and they’re happy. If you like him, you can give it a chance and see how it turns out. Just because he’s older than you it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a pedophile or a weirdo, maybe he’s also looking to settle down at his age and it all may turn out to be lovely. If it doesn’t, then life goes on. :)

i wouldn’t, i want someone closer to my age so we can experience life together, he’s much older and probably already experienced some things that might be new to you. also because a lot of times older men go for younger women is because women their age don’t want them and they have their reasons why. if you feel
comfortable you should but if you don’t then you shouldn’t

I am talking to someone who turned 26 last month which is my oldest by 1 year+. I confirmed we both don’t want kids for 10-15 years which is all I need to make me comfortable. I just want to make sure we don’t operate on his clock. I know I don’t want kids in my 20’s so I say that. I think y’all could have a great relationship potentially 💘
