Delayed?

So my daughter just turned 6 months old yesterday and I keep seeing moms posting about their babies already crawling and sitting up by themselves and my daughter can’t do any of that or turn all the way over. Does it sound like she’s delayed or something? Am I doing something wrong?

No. She’s fine. She’ll develop at her own pace and in her own time.
Comparing your child to other children is a slippery slope. Try not to get started with that bad habit. 
Your doctor will let you know if there are developmental issues you need to be aware of, typically.

Every baby is different. Give her time. If you really concerned talk to her doctor. I think she’s fine 💙 try not to compare her with other kids. Good luck

Honestly, people post when their kids reach milestones so it probably seems like lots are doing these things but for every person that posts there are plenty that are not posting. There are plenty of babies that are not crawling by 6 months and also keep in mind that some babies do things in different orders as well.

My sister’s daughter is in the same boat. But she’s got neck issues and has to wear a helmet now due to a flat head. I’d speak to your doctor if you’re worried. My sister’s daughter is in PT for her neck and head and they stated she was a bit behind but in my opinion she really isn’t. But I’m no professional.

6 months isn’t delayed. As long as babe is crawling by their 1st birthday they’re fine. Now if babe is screaming during tummy time or unable to turn their head in both directions, look into PT. Both my nieces had this issue and needed a few weeks of PT.

May be get her assessment done to check where she falls developmentally.  Have a micro premie and I am always worried about development. And never sure where she should be. So I take her for development assessment periodically.

Nope! My daughters both did things super early, but my sons didn’t have any trunk control until they were like 7/8 months. No worries mama.

She is not delayed. Please do not compare your baby to other babies. She has been on this earth only 6 months. Relax and enjoy your baby.

She's fine. 🙂 My son was barely rolling at 6 months. Didn't crawl until 8 months. He was walking at 14 and now I can't keep up. They do it at their own pace, don't worry!

My daughter was rolling by that age, but she didnt push herself to sitting up until closer to 7 months. I actually caught it on camera accidentally when I was getting her rolling around. She started crawling about 6 or 7 months. By 8 months she was standing with help (us or the coffee table.) Pulling to stand. By 9 months she was cruising (walking while holding on to something.) She didn't walk walk on her own until a few weeks past her 1st birthday. All kiddos move at their own pace. We thought she'd be crawling/walking much sooner because she very badly wanted to do both. But she didnt. We let her go at her pace and it was just right for her. Now shes almost 3 and never stops 😂
