Membrane sweep

I’m 39 weeks 1 day. Had membrane sweep toda but didn’t feel any pain or discomfort during procedure and none filling either. Is this normal? I was told there would be discomfort during and after as well as spotting but I felt nothing and am still feeling nothing.
