Help me please. I’m so upset right now. I’m pregnant and have a 1 and a half year old.

We got flea meds from vet. Gave them to our dog. And they still weren’t going away but we waited and gave the medicine some time to work and it didn’t. They got 10 times worse. So it’s been about 2-3 weeks and our carpets and house is infested. Everyday has gotten worse. Today was my breaking point. I found one in our babies hair , one on her face and bit her cheek. Every 10 minutes I find one on my arm, leg or somewhere. Everytime I’m breastfeeding I look down and there’s one on my stomach. I’m crying I’m so disgusted and never gone through this. I have also washed everything very very regularly, washed our bedding , constantly vacuuming multiple times a day and they still are here just as bad. Also giving dog bath with dawn dish soap. So I call vet and tell them what happened and there like oh weird yeah there is a resistance sometimes with that medicine ?! I’m like wtf why would u sell it to me. Then they say well we will have the dr call u tomorrow with a. Different recommendation but your dog hasn’t been seen in a year so she needs an exam first ( they just sold me this medicine 2-3 weeks ago without an exam) I told her sorry we can not afford it at all right now. We’re in the process of moving and can I make her an appt for next month and still get the medicine ??? She said idk it’ll be up to the dr. She will call u tomorrow.

I am livid. Idk what else to do. I feel like a terrible mother. Also we don’t have. A yard so she’s not getting them from outside. We house sat a dog at our home a few weeks ago that obviously gave our animal fleas.

I feel so bad for my baby. She is getting bit and idk what to do
