What are you planning on switching from crib to toddler bed?

I’m wondering when we should make the move. She’s fine in her crib, but I’m wondering if there’s a “rule” as to when they should be on a big bed.

When she attempts to climb out. If not, when she outgrows the bed. Lol. I love them being in a crib.

My June baby is currently in a toddler bed, he loves it. He loves that he can get in and out of it himself.

June 2017 babe - toddler bed at 18 months because I was pregnant with June 2019 babe and wanted to give him a transition period
June 2019 babe - zero plans to convert her to a toddler bed (she never tries to climb out, when she does, we’ll do it) 
September 2020 babe - he’s only six months old so he’ll be cribbing it for a long while, but we‘ll transition when he starts climbing out of it
I think the excitement of all the “firsts” with our first got to us. He had way too much freedom early on and we would have kept him contained longer if we could go back in time. We are not ready for another one to be able to get in and out yet 😂

My 4 year old never tried to climb out of hers, so we waited as long as possible.. did the toddler bed around 2 1/2 and then a full size bed at 3 1/2. She has the convertible crib to full size bed!

A couple days after she turned 1 she crawled out of her crib twice so we converted it. She absolutely loves it & it’s so much easier to put her to bed now. We can cuddle in her bed, too. & she loves that she’s able to run to my room in the morning

We just switched my son into a toddler bed last weekend. He decided to climb out of the crib during his nap time, because he didn't want to sleep. My daughter was exactly 2 years old when we switched her, she never climbed out. We just got lucky and had a bed given to us.

We are waiting until she is doing well in potty training, and needs to get up to pee at night. 
But we aren't really, truly starting to potty train until she turns 2 and is communicating when she needs a diaper change. 
So probably not until fall-ish

We already made the switch, he's sleeping on a full size mattress on the floor and ever since he's been sleeping through the night in his own bedroom! He loves it. But you have to do what makes your child happy, some kids don't want the extra

We’re moving in a month and I’m tempted to make the switch but i also don’t know if it’ll be too much change all at once. We may wait until after his birthday.
