So I’ve had mastitis with my previous babies multiple times...every time I’ve had a defined bump around the red streaks. Today I noticed the upper portion of my areola was super sore. I started upping my intake of lecithin, hydrating more than usual, and massaging the area. Still no bump. The pain never really eased. Tonight as I’m nursing I notice red around the area and alarms are going off bc I know how awful mastitis can be.

Has anyone had mastitis without an obvious lump or bump where the clot is? How did you clear it?

If not, what else could it be?
