Using words more around others than at home?

So even before having kids, I knew it was common for them to act different around different people.

My son goes to daycare 3 days/week and is praised for being “so advanced” with language. When we pick him up, they’ll even ask him to say the other kids’ names or other words and he says them freakishly clear. He also signs a lot and they say he always says the word with the sign.... but he does none of this at home!

He will literally be saying all kinds of words when we pick him up and for like the next 20 minutes, then it’s back to only a few words, signing, and saying who knows what 😝

I’m so glad that’s he’s doing well with his words when he wants to, but I don’t know why he doesn’t use them all the time lol.

Anyone else’s little one do this? 🤐
