How can I safely co sleep?

Question

I know it isn't safe :( that was never my plan. He has a bassinet but he wakes up as soon as I put him down over & over again so I put him in my bed and WOW he slept! So if I'm going to do this, please give me tips and tricks to do it safe.

We have a dockatot in the middle of our bed.
When I’m done feeding her or rocking her I just try and gently set her in it.
She’s 11 weeks.

I feel you mamma! My lill one is only 5 weeks old and would only sleep in our bed. But last night i tried her big cot (in our room) and she slept the whole night through! I figured the mattress in the cot is thicker and similar feel as our bed.

There’s a huge difference between co-sleeping and bed sharing. Co sleeping would be in like a crib that attached to your bed so baby has their own space but still beside you. Bed sharing is when they are in bed with you. Bed sharing is not considered ever safe but you can reduce risks by removing blankets/pillows, making sure no one in the bed smokes and is completely sober, making sure baby isn’t too warm. I feel like most moms at some point have slept with their baby in the bed, I know when I did I was much more aware of how I was sleeping. I’d wake up so stiff because I was nervous to roll on them. But honestly I was always much more nervous of my husband as he’s a deep sleeper
