6 months is the new standard. 4 months is very old school and I wouldn’t recommend.

It should be a discussion with your pediatrician based in their own readiness. We got the approval to start at about 4m and did full baby lead weaning at 6m. Each baby is different. My best friend didnt start until 6m and her daughter didnt really start table foods until a year. It just all depends
