I was told once you start solids!

Our pediatrician said as long as they’re getting adequate breast milk or formula, water is unnecessary. And too much can throw off something in the brain (i don’t remember the correct terminology) So we didn’t start until 11ish months. I have 2 kids.

My daughter was born in May and we had a hot UK summer, she was drinking tiny bits of cooled boiled water from about 2/3months. Not regularly but when I could tell she was thirsty.
Totally yoyr preference but 6months when solids start you should definitely offer something x

My kids dr gave me the go ahead since they were 4 months old 🤷🏻‍♀️ and no limit she said. They’re 4 y/o and 1 y/o- they love water lol.

Not until 6 months and then no more than 2 oz a day

6 months once they started solids. It helped wash their food down. I always breastfed before eating so they obviously didn’t want the boob after.

When we started solids at 6 months and our pediatrician confirmed. She also said that it needs to be done at least gradually after they started solids, even breastfeeding. I also notice if I end up forgetting to give him water with his meals he gets constipated, which makes sense

I personally didn’t do water until 1 year.  If they got fluids it was formula or breast milk.

I believe I waited until 1 year. I was breastfeeding and was told they get enough water from the milk so it’s not necessary. I also know that it can be dangerous if you give too much too soon so you may want to get definite answer from your pediatrician
