My OB said GD in itself isnt a reason to induce unless baby was too big or adversely affected by it.

I was told they’d induce me by 37 weeks and I have controlled gd; I also have existing high blood pressure so that could be a factor as well as over 35..

My doctor gave me the option to be induced or not since my sugars have been good
