You really shouldn't and definitely not to replace formula... even if they ate some kind of cereal (which is no longer recommended) the formula intake has to remain the same, so it wouldn't solve the problems. Talk to doc, sorry your having trouble. My youngest had horrible feeding issues from birth and did therapy to get in solids. It is rough.
