It’s still pretty early. My baby didn’t really start saying anything until 11 months or a little later

Uhh absolutely NOT.
My PED was like oh he's a year old he needs to be saying words, I'll reccomend a speech therapist. And I said NO.
You know why? Because it's early. And I feel like they rush a bit of mile stones. 
I talked to my friend who is a speech therapist and she said if your child isn't saying ANY WORDS by age 2 or 2 and a half its an issue. 
My son will be 2 years old next month and he JUST about a month ago really saying words and repeating things.
Stop comparing or thinking your child will be delayed. All children learn at their own pace. Be patient with them. And don't worry..

At this age, for most babies it’s still very babbly, like “mamamamamama” and “dadadadada”. He’ll get it in his own time. He may be practicing other skills instead, and will get the language stuff when he’s ready.
