Poo in the potty! 😳

Monday, we decided to try potty training. My almost 19 mo has been suuuuuper interested and sitting on the potty (clothed with diaper) more and more often since we started training big brother (3) at the beginning of the year. He wasn’t into it, but has been successful, just took a while. He still has the occasional accident when he doesn’t want to be bothered with it and can’t seem to get the pooping thing down. He’s taken to pooping at nap and/or bedtime, when we put a diaper on him. He would try in the potty, but couldn’t push it out and is a deep squatter.

Anyway, we had about a thousand per accidents, big and small, from Mon to Wed morning. We have carpet and she was just going really frequently. I decided to put a diaper on her yesterday afternoon and just let her go if she brings it up because she doesn’t my seem to have great bladder control yet, even though she wants to. I was too overwhelmed (16 weeks with baby 3, SAHM, hubby works long hours, and just starting to get control of my Hyperemesis wear I can function better). Today. Thursday, I called her to the changing table so I could change her before going up for nap. She said “per per” and brought me her little potty, I told her ok and she brought me the book she wanted to read. Took her diaper off, she sat down, and about half way through the book, she pooped in the potty! She tried to stand and push at first, but I just encouraged her to sit and she did it! Super proud mama here! Maybe we’ll have both littles out of diapers before baby joins us land side 🤔🙏🏻🤷🏻‍♀️
