When to take a pregnancy test

Hello, my period ended on Feb 19. My partner and I had sex every day using preseed until 2 days after ovulation. My period is due in 5 days (Thursday) i took a test yesterday and today, both negative. Could it be too early? I’m pretty discouraged, I’m not really having breast tenderness or anything.

His sperm analysis was good, I had no obvious issues during my workup (bloodwork, ultrasound, etc)

Anyone have any similar experiences? Words of encouragement?
