So I just had an appointment with a do it or today because I’m on the mini pill and it has been sending my moods crazy, I’ve been bleeding on and off and my dermatitis has gone haywire. After speaking to this doctor I mentioned that my daughter only breastfeeds before bed and that’s when I found out that this means my mini pill (microlut) is basically ineffective as a contraception. I did not know this! I don’t know how I haven’t fallen pregnant again but this freaked me out! She said that because my daughter is almost weaned that it isn’t a viable option of contraception. I just wanted to share because even though this is my second bub I didn’t know this! I can’t believe I wasn’t told this, I was told as long as I was breast feeding I was to use this pill. So hopefully this helps any other parents out there from freaking out like I did!
