Sleeping on back with anterior placenta?

Is it okay for me to sleep on my back if I have an anterior placenta? Are there any other risks for sleeping on your back? Currently 32 weeks.

Sleeping on your back puts pressure on the vena cava (very important vein)regardless of where your placenta is.  It also increases your risk of hemorrhoids and varicose veins.  So it’s better just to sleep on your side

You can sleep however you want (or however you can) regardless of placenta location. You'll get to a point where sleeping on your back will literally make you dizzy and sick.

I've occasionally slept on my back but propped up with pillows so I'm not completely flat. Mostly I stay on my side but I've never been a back sleeper, it's the stomach sleeping I miss!!

Generally it's advised to sleep on your side and not your back starting in the 2nd tri regardless of placenta location because the weight of your belly/baby/uterus puts too much pressure on the main artery in your back which can mess with your blood pressure and restrict bloodflow to yourself and baby.

You can, it’s recommended you don’t bc you can limit blood flow to your uterus so I was told if I wanted to lay on my back put a small or thin pillow under one side. Back sleeping is super uncomfortable imo 😂
