Anyone else freak out and literally cannot drive on the highways?

I do too. Unless your putting the lives of others at risk no one was any right to judge you for having a realistic fear. My 44 year old father who’s drove on highways plenty of times thought his life still gets nervous from time to time and doesn’t like it.

I prefer freeways over city driving, but just because you don’t like it doesn’t make you a baby. If it’s your only option, you might want to look into therapy to resolve it. Other wise, take the backroads and leave yourself enough time to get there going slower.
I have no tolerance for passengers who panic while I’m driving.

I tried and get panic attacks. I just can't do it. My husband is the highway driver.  He loves it.

i love driving on the freeway and highway.  i get to go fast. i think it’s easier than driving in the city and less irritating than driving in neighbourhoods and such. i used to be terrified of it. had my mom turn on my wipers for me cause i couldn’t let go of the steering wheel. i was forced to learn cause i got a job at 16 that required me to drive on the freeway. i was scared but i had no choice. it gets easier the more you do it.

It was scary when I first got my permit, but practice makes it much more comfortable and now I dont even think about it.

No but it took me years to even be comfortable driving at all so I don’t consider you a baby. It’s just something you have to do multiple times to get used to. I had to drive the freeway when I got my license bc of my job so I got over the freeway thing pretty fast and prefer it to side streets

No offense but people who freak out about driving on highways annoy me lol. It’s not my favorite thing to do either but I still manage. You just gotta do and you’ll get use to it
