Anyone go on to have diabetes after a bad fight with gestational diabetes? My blood sugar is the highest it’s ever been and I have to call my OB on Monday. Had baby 2 weeks ago. I don’t have a weight or any other health issues. I’m 130 pounds after birth. It’s just genetic.

Just wondering what y’all did bc I feel terrible and I think I need to take my Metformin over the weekend while I wait to speak with my doctor.

Also does my high blood sugar affect my breastmilk? My daughters pedi spoke to me about continuing to breastfeed bc if I stop, the diabetes will likely get worse. But I didn’t think to ask about my milk. 😫
