What items do I REALLY NEED?

I am 7 weeks away from our due date, and we are trying to prioritize what we should buy now vs later (after baby is born). So far we have the essential crib, bassinet, clothes, stroller and car seat, changing table, some random sized pacifiers ans bottle nipples, a few burp cloths, a baby bathtub, some baby wipes and random sized diapers. What other things do we need?

I’d get quite a bit of burp clothes so you don’t have to do laundry every day!

Boppy newborn lounger, a bottle brush (I like the Oxo tot), bottle drying rack, nontoxic soap for dishes, dishwasher, and laundry, diaper cream, an extra pack of prefold cloth diapers to use as burp clothes (you’ll need more than just a few burp cloths), mesh laundry bags for washing small items. Also, if you bottle feed, I found a bottle warmer to be extremely helpful.

I would wait on the crib. My little one slept in the bassinet for 6 months but a swing and bouncer are a must. Oh and a boppy pillow.

Extra burp cloths. I was unprepared for having a baby with reflux. We soaked through half a dozen burp cloths a day. Quickly realized I needed much more than I thought. OsoCozy cotton prefolds work amazingly as burp cloths
