I had a shower early morning yesterday, no issues down there. Started my period in the evening and when I was wiping I got this insanely weird stinging pain. On investigation I found a small lump on my vulva beside the vagina opening. I am so worried about this I've ordered an sti test, I've been in a relationship 5 years so just a bit freaking out.

Has anyone ever found a random lump at the start of their period? It can't have been irritation from a pad because I was in the process of putting one on and I don't use tampons, thank you so much if you can help <3
