High BMI and water births

So in the UK there is a rule that you can’t have a water birth with a BMI over 40 (sometimes 35 in some hospitals) I was just wondering if anyone has had a water birth with a high BMI and whether they go off your first weight they ever took... or your BMI when you are about to give birth as obviously this will be higher.
